PDA Handhelds

Getting the Most Out of MSN Mail on Your Pocket PC Inbox.

Pda's have come far from the original intentions. They started as simple electronic organizers and have turned into mini personal computers. You can use them to download information or programs off the internet, play games, listen to music and use email. PDA's give you're the freedom from cables and power cords. They take you away from the desk and allow you to go about your day with them quietly by your side ready for use whenever you feel like it. For those access their MSN mail from their pocket pc inbox there are some simple ways to make the process easy.

If you have an MSN mail account that you usually use on your home computer then you can also access that account using your PDA. This allows you to check your email whenever it is convenient for you. You can also have important emails stored in your pocket pc inbox for future reference. By using your PDA you can view your emails or send emails to others. In order to do this, though, there are a few steps you must follow.

Most pocket pc's are not going to come ready to work with MSN mail. MSN mail is not your standard POP3 or web based email service. They involve high end security measures to give you added protection. Without some adjustment pocket pc's do not support the secure password authentication protocol that MSN mail uses as an account protection measure. This means you can not access your email account. In order to make things work properly you will need to install an addition that supports MSN mail by your pocket pc inbox. Once you are set up it is a simple matter of retrieving the emails from the internet.

To get your emails from the internet your need to synchronize your PDA with your personal computer. You most likely have done this before and it is quite simple. All you need to do is to hook your PDA cable to your personal computer. You then run synchronizing software that allows your PDA to receive the information your personal computer is getting from your online MSN mailbox. If you have wireless capabilities this is another way to receive these emails from your MSN mailbox. Once this process is complete you can then read and send emails.

MSN mail offers a high level of security which is why most users chose them as their email provider. This does offer some issues, however, when you want to view your email on your pocket pc. It really isn't that big of a deal and with a few adjustments you are well on your way to viewing your MSN mail on your pocket pc inbox.
