Age of Empires was originally made for personal computers. It is now available for pocket pc's. The PDA version is very comparable to the original pc version. It is a full version download that will make you forget you are playing on a PDA. The game is an exciting role play game that will keep you busy for hours.
This is a large game file, but the manufacturer has broken it into five separate downloads for convenience and preservation of memory. The full downloaded game uses 20.4 MB of RAM. That is not including room for games you want to save. The five pieces are: main game- 9.8MB of RAM, campaigns- 5.1MB of RAM, scenarios- 1.2MB of RAM, user manual 0.3MB of RAM and into video- 4.0MB of RAM. The only piece required to play the game is the main game file. The good thing is this game can be installed on a memory card reducing the main memory concerns. The main change from the pc version is that you can not play in multi-player mode. Other than that it is just like the old pc game.
This game pouts you in charge of building a Stone Age tribe into a booming civilization. There are four types of games: random map, campaign, death match and scenario. The random map allows you to customize every aspect of the game. The campaign is a storyline type game. Death Match is what its name suggests - an all out battle. The scenario gives you certain goals to accomplish. There are great graphics and amazing sounds for each type of game. This is one game you won't be able to put down easily.
The PDA version of Age of Empires will not disappoint long time fans. It will also be captivating for beginners. In comparing the PDA version to the pc version there are no major complaints. You get the four main types of games and can play away easily. This game is exciting and requires a strategical mind and you can really get lost in this amazing adventure.
